Startup Podcast — Launch & Ongoing Weekly Production
End-to-end podcast production for a top-rated Indian startup podcast — custom theme music, episode editing, sound design, and mastering for 52 weekly episodes.
The Challenge
Two first-time podcasters with amazing startup stories to tell but zero audio production experience. They were recording on basic USB mics in a noisy co-working space. They needed a professional podcast identity (intro/outro), weekly episode editing with fast turnaround (record Monday, publish Wednesday), consistent audio quality despite varying recording conditions, and format development (cold open teasers, mid-roll transitions, etc.).
The Approach
Designed the show's sonic identity first — an energetic, slightly edgy intro with electric guitar riff and a voiceover bed, matching their 'unfiltered' brand. Created a full format template: cold open teaser (30s best moment), intro (20s), segment transitions (3s stingers), mid-roll ad break music, and outro with CTA. For weekly production: receive raw recordings every Monday, clean up background noise (co-working chatter, AC hum) using spectral editing, balance host levels, edit out ums/dead air, add format elements, master to -16 LUFS for Spotify/Apple. Built a custom processing chain template for consistency across episodes.
The Result
Podcast grew from 0 to 50,000 monthly downloads in 8 months. Reached top 15 on Apple Podcasts India (Business category). Multiple guests praised the professional audio quality. The hosts were able to focus entirely on content while the entire post-production was handled seamlessly.
